There’s more to cue sticks than meets the eye! Here’s the lowdown on how you can (and can’t) use your trusty shooting cue in APA League and Tournament play.
🎯 Regular Shooting Cues:
These are your go-to cues for almost everything—jump shots, massé shots, and break shots. Yep, you read that right! But here’s the kicker: you cannot “break down” your cue (no taking it apart!) to perform a jump shot. Keep it whole and in control!
📝 A Few Important Notes:
- Breaking News: Just because you use your regular shooting cue for a break shot doesn’t magically transform it into a “break cue.” It’s still your regular old shooting cue—no special powers here!
- Special Consideration: Wheelchair players, juniors, or players who are a bit vertically challenged get to use a junior cue or “shortie” as their regular shooting cue. Everyone deserves the right fit!
- Cue Switching: Feel like switching things up mid-game? Go for it! You can change cues or cue shafts during a game—just make sure your new choice follows the rules, and you’re mindful of the time. No pressure!
