Meet Our League Manager: Melissa Goss

Melissa Goss has been passionate about pool since the very first rack she ever played. Her love for the game led her to join the APA in Raleigh in the early ’90s, and from that moment on, she was hooked—not just on the competition, but on the friendships, laughter, and sense of community that make league nights so special.
Over the years, Melissa has played in multiple leagues across three different regions, experiencing both the highs of thrilling victories and the lessons learned in tough losses. Through it all, she’s seen firsthand how APA brings people together—not just as teammates, but as lifelong friends. From teams made up of entire families to players meeting their future spouses at league night, she knows that APA is about more than just pool—it’s about connection.

Now, as League Manager, Melissa is thrilled to be back home with the APA Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, working alongside Don Ward to enhance the league experience for both current and future members. Whether it’s supporting great causes, celebrating wins, or simply sharing a fun night out, she believes that no one does it better than the APA.
You’ll find her at league nights, ready to welcome familiar faces and new players alike—because here, every rack is a chance to make memories.
