APA
Ladies'
"Tour for the Cure"

The APA Ladies’ Tour offers area ladies the chance to get together for some really great, friendly competition. Ours is the only tour of its kind in the area. We hold 6 tournaments a year (every 5 or 6 weeks), one-day Saturday events, so it doesn’t require much of your time. We alternate 8-ball and 9-ball handicapped tournaments, so any skill level can win money. Host locations vary during the year, with Babineau’s being the main sponsor location, hosting the first and last tournaments.

This year we are using some of our money to donate to the fight to cure breast cancer. Every tournament, we will collect $1 entry into the break contest, take 10% of our total prize fund (15% at double point events), and have “pink ribbon” merchandise for sale. All of this will be donated to breast cancer research and awareness.

We pay out ¼ of the field every tournament. Guaranteed $250 added per tournament (last year 1st place prize averaged over $300)! Also, players earn points each tournament towards a year-end payout. Halfway through the season and the final tournament are double point events, which can change points standings drastically.

We offer a tour card every season, which gets a discounted entry fee into all tournaments. Also, with a tour card, many of our host locations offer free practice time and discounts.

There are many extras, including drawings for door prizes at all events and break contests for a $50 Babineau’s or On The Snap gift card. Each tournament winner gets their APA dues paid for the next year. At the end of the season, we have many special prizes and awards, including a drawing for a paid entry into the Raleigh Billiard Academy.

Tournament entry fees are $25 with a tour card, $35 without. If you pay the $35 entry fee and decide to buy a tour card later in the season, the extra $10 will be applied to that cost.

Come give us a try and enjoy a fun-filled Saturday. You gotta love a pool hall filled with women!

Please contact Leslie Boulware at (919)649-1137 or leslie.boulware@jacobs.com (or you can go through the APA website) if you have any questions or would like to sign up for the Ladies' Tour. You can also ask questions about the tour and/or discuss tour events under the APA Tours Forum.
