$7,000+ Doubles Tournaments
Five Doubles Tournaments are held yearly to qualify six Doubles Teams for the National Championships in Las Vegas. Each Tournament is a Modified Single Elimination Tournament with the winning team advancing to Nationals. Payout for each tournament is based on (but not limited to) a 32-team board and pays out the top 4 teams. First place for each tournament receives $1000 (tournament entry fee included) for travel assistance to Las Vegas and a spot in the designated Doubles Event. Second place for each tournament receives $250 and Third place for each tournament (2 teams tie for third each tournament) each receive $125. Registration is open to any APA player who is active on a team roster in the format of the given tournament. The following formats are offered:
- Jack & Jill Doubles (alternate shot, must be a male/female team). One tournament, qualifying two teams, is offered a year.
- 8-Ball Scotch Doubles (alternate shot, any combination of male/female teams). Two open tournaments, qualifying two teams, are offered a year. One closed tournament for Doubles League, qualifying one team, is offered a year.
- 9-Ball Scotch Doubles (alternate shot, any combination of male/female teams). One tournament, qualifying one team, is offered a year.
